Peter McCall, Conservative candidate for Cumbria Police and Crime Commissioner, has today been elected the new PCC for Cumbria.
I am delighted and humbled to have been elected as Police and Crime Commissioner to succeed Richard Rhodes. I am absolutely clear that winning the election was an enormous team effort and I cannot thank enough every member, leaflet deliverer, canvasser and those who have given support in so many ways, we won the election together and my mission now is to deliver on your behalf. There are so many individuals to thank it would be wrong to single any one person so my sincere thanks to you all.
I should take this opportunity on behalf of us all to thank and congratulate Richard Rhodes on a job well done, he has been a superb PCC, has achieved a lot for our county and being the first was never going to be easy, Cumbria owes him a real debt of gratitude, he will be a hard act to follow.
Thank you all most sincerely
